The Center is located within the IFOM-IEO Campus in Milan, one of the largest and most vibrant cancer research communities in Europe, and provides state-of-the art technological platforms for functional as well as structural genomics towards a better understanding of complex biological processes and diseases, with particular emphasis on Cancer.
We seek highly motivated, dynamic and collaborative people to join the Center and contribute to highly competitive research by applying in silico and computational approaches to the analysis of genomic data, including transcriptional data, noncoding RNAs, and epigenetics.
Expertise in data management and organization, sequencing and –omic datasets, and development of analysis pipelines and support tools of genomic data is essential.
He/she will also coordinate and supervise junior computational scientists, together with other PIs at the Center.
Qualifications and requirements:
- PhD Degree in Computer science or Bioinformatics
- Good programming skills (R, Bash)
- Good knowledge of the Linux operating system
- >3 years experience with bioinformatics and biostatistics tools for the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data
Salary will be highly competitive and commensurate with qualification and experience.
